We hope all are having a great Holiday Season. Linda and Larry are working to get through the holidays and gearing up to bring back a great dance class for everyone.

Now this is not your Momma’s Country Line Dance Class; Line Dancing is not strictly done to Country Music. You will learn dances to Country, Pop, and  Rock & Roll just to name a few of the music genera.

We will be utilizing the Banquet Room next door to Main Street Restaurant  & Bar in downtown Hopkinsville.  The class will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday Evening.. Date of first class to be announced in the next few weeks.

We heard from you and understand there was some confusion on where our new location is on Main Street. It is next door to Main Street Restaurant at 801 South Main Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240. Below is a Google map to show best place to park for class.

This photo shows where the door to the Banquet Room is located. It is the first door you come to under the black awning.

Our January Classes will be geared toward the Beginner Dancers, Learn the basic steps. We will have Basic Step classes through out the upcoming year and more details will be coming on those in the next few weeks.

So get those Dancing Shoes dusted off and get ready to work some of that Thanksgiving and Christmas additions off.  Join us on Thursday evenings starting in January for fun, laughs and a good workout. Linda and Larry will see you soon on the Dance Floor.

STUDIO NINE YOGA

L & L LINEDANCECONNECTION is so proud to be working with Sheila Byrd of Studio Nine Yoga  in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.   We wanted to ensure you knew more about Sheila and Studio Nine.

Sheila began her journey practicing yoga with Sacred Movements, contemplative prayer and yoga. She soon received her RYT 200 after attending Yog Nisarga in Thailand. She holds over 250 hours as a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, the internationally recognized authority on yoga. Her yoga teacher training comes with emphasis on the powerful flow of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Sequence. Still a student of the sequence herself, Sheila finds this particular style of asana (posture) both humbling and energizing.
With a background in holistic health and attunement to bio-individuality, her goal as a yoga teacher is to introduce how yoga can be both beneficial and self-healing for each individual lifestyle.

Recently, Sheila has expanded her practice towards Yoga for Therapeutic Rehabilitation and Trauma Conscious Yoga. Her study of Yoga for Therapeutic Rehabilitation has equipped her with the structure to modify poses that accommodate individual needs and limitations. Her training in Trauma Conscious Yoga has taught her that every experience on the yoga mat will be different and as a teacher she is more aware of the different levels of trauma and takes a mindful approach when interacting with students hands-on.

Sheila was born in Hawaii, raised in Savannah, Georgia and is proud to call Kentucky home. In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga (of course), listening to music and cutting the grass on hot summer days.

Thank you Sheila for opening up your studio for our Dance Family.. Go check out Studio Nine and meet Ms. Sheila..
